What is TeamGymn?
TeamGymn is a competitive form of group gymnastics. Gymnasts compete in two events, group floor and group jump. Group floor is a synchronized routine including dance and gymnastics. Group Jump involves streaming (one gymnast goes right after the other) tumbling, vaulting and mini-tramp. This type of gymnastics is fast-paced and tons of fun!
Who can sign up to be a part of a TeamGymn team?
TeamGymn classes are available for Supestar Girls and Boys, Advanced Boys, Gold Stars and the Biron Gymnastics Show Team also participates in TeamGymn on Friday evenings.
What cost is involved in TeamGymn?
TeamGymn tuition is the same as a performance add on class. The participants will also need an USAG member number for $15.00. Competition fees are usually around $40.00. Each gymnast will be required to purchase a Biron Gymnastics warm-up, the superstar class leotard or the Gold Star competition leotard. Boys will be required to purchase a competition uniform along with the Biron Gymnastics warm-up.
What is the commitment for a TeamGymn team?
TeamGymn is a year-long commitment. In the Fall semester the teams will learn the routines and practice their skills, during the Spring semester the teams will have the opportunity to compete in 3 or 4 competitions in the Greater Houston area. TeamGymn is a team sport therefore class and competition attendance is very important to the success of the team.
